Dr. Cadaver's Monster Horror Theatre Show ran in Florida from 1998 - 99. It stared Dr. Cadaver and Igor and lasted 11 episodes. Here is the last one, a Halloween themed one that featured the movie The Corpse Vanishes.

In 1971 Pittsburgh's Chiller Theater host, Chilly Billy Cardille recoreded a 45 rpm record called Chilly Billy's Vamp. It included the song Chilly Billy's Vamp and Strange But True Tales, which were creepy true stories.

The Pimp's Horror House


Cleveland based horror host The Pimp presents The Pimp's Horror House. During the showing of the movie there are lots of break-ins with comments from The Pimp and his guests. Also inserted into the movie are clips from cartoons and old films, custom computer animation, skits, and audio additions. Joining The Pimp on the show are characters such as Son of Pimp and The Ogre.

The original Svengoolie was played by Jerry G. Bishop on Screaming Yellow Theater which ran from 1970-1973. The Chicago based show was extremely popular and featured commercial parodies, skits, and and funny songs.

Count Pelicula's Theatre of Horrors


Count Pelicula's Theatre of Horrors recently ended it's run on channel 55, The Tube in Houston, Texas. Running from April of 2007 to April of 2008 it starred Count Pelicula and other characters, such as Da Spida, Chlamydia, and The Lobster.
The show featured many sketches and interaction with the films they showed, including some of the classic Universal monster movies.

The Basement Sublet of Horror: The Horror Host Special


Episode 117 of The Basement Sublet of Horror is The Horror Host Special. It features the story of how The Basement Sublet of Horror came to be, including many rare clips, behind the scenes footage, and bloopers. Also presented are interviews with the creator and other cast and crew members.

The remaining parts of the show have interviews with other Kansas horror hosts. A current interview with Crematia Mortem delves into the background of her show and she reveals some fun stories and anecdotes.

A vintage 1986 interview with Tom Leahy, who played The Host with Rodney on Nightmare, includes rare footage of him during the show's run.

This is a great show with a lot of background information on all the hosts and first-hand stories that give a good idea of what the shows were like to create.
