The California based Horror Kung-Fu Theatre recently ended it's run on Los Angeles T.V. Hosted by former N.W.O. wrestler The Nightshadow and broadcast live every week since 1992, it became the longest running horror host show in L.A. The show features a mix of horror and kung-fu movies, as well as videos and shorts. The Nightshadow also has in studio celebrity guests along with some of his regular characters like Revenja the Ninja. Frightmares the Series is an internet based horror host series that started in September of 2003. All the characters in the show are puppets, including the hosts The Frightmaster and Kane, who introduce a wide variety of movies and old T.V. shows. The Boss is heard but never seen and was the one who sent Kane to make sure The Frightmaster makes the show the way he wants.

The Best of The It's Alive Show Season 1 DVD is a collection of most of the hosting segments from The It's Alive Show's first season. Included are many funny segments from the show and sometimes includes on screen text about the clip. The bonus features include a behind the scenes look at the making of the opening of the show, in color, with audio commentary by Professor Emcee Square and Pointy. There is also a couple of short clips of of Stiffy and Fritz wandering around lost.
There are many extra features on the recently released American ScaryDVD. Two interesting ones are extended interview with Tim Conway, who worked on Ghoulardi's show and the wedding on A. Monsterpiece Theatre ran on WLEX-TV Channel 18 in Lexington, Kentucky from 1985 - 1986 and was hosted by Millicent B. Ghastly. There were a few horror hosts in Australia called Deadly Earnest. In the 1960s - 1970s the Melbourne area had Aweful Movies with Deadly Earnest with Earnest played by Ralph Baker. The show ran on the ATV-0 channel, where Earnest was joined by characters including Claw, Hoof, Igor, and Lily. Here is one of the few remaining clips of this Deadly Earnest:
The Zomboo Scrapbook is a great look into Zomboo's House of Horror Movies and what goes into making a horror host show. It includes a show history, behind the scenes information and pictures, copies of the initial notes and the script for the first episode, articles about the show, and pictures of props, guests, cast and crew. There are capsule summaries of the movies shown, some of the artwork sent in by fans, and Mini Z's jokes. Altogether, it is an entertaining resource for someone who wants to know more about Zomboo's House of Horror Movies or for fans who want to relive memories.
American Scary, the horror host documentary out now on DVD features profiles of many of the earliest and best loved horror hosts. Two of the the hosts included are Svengoolie and Ghoulardi, with reminisces by the men who played them as well as those who worked with them and others who site them as their influences. The horror host documentary American Scary comes to DVD on February 17, 2009. The documentary is a great overview of the horror host genre and provides profiles of many of the original hosts like Zacherley, Svengoolie, Ghoulardi, and Vampira. Memories of the hosts are provided by fans which include some celebrities and modern hosts as well as the hosts themselves. Highlighting the documentary are many clips from different hosts shows and some footage of a convention where many of the hosts appeared. The information they provide enlightens the viewer in the origins of horror hosting in general and the hosts' place in television and cultural history. What comes across strongest is the impact hosts had on peoples lives and the influence on them that continues today. There are many bonus features on the DVD. They include an audio commentary with the filmmakers, the original pitch reel, two trailers for the film, a cut segment about Nashville horror hosts, A Ghastlee Ghoul's wedding, and extended interviews with Tim Conway, Zacherley, Miala Nurmi, Ernie Anderson and Bob Burns. Another classic horror host who gets a featured profile in the upcoming American Scary DVD is Vampira. Her alter ego Maila Nurmi get interviewed and reminisces are shared by Forrest J Ackerman and Bob Burns, among others.

HEL on ICE the T.V. Show (The D.V.D.) Volume 1 is a DVD that contains the first four episodes of Ms. Monster's HEL on ICE show. The bright red box also contains a mini HEL on ICE comic book, with a Ms. Monster adventure. Each half hour episode is packed with trailers and clips of horror movies, animated shorts, and fun skits with Ms. Monster, Tit and Tat, and 2B. As you get into each episode, you don't know what will pop up next, with classic horror as well as splatter films equally represented. The animation varies from claymation to standard hand drawn, but all the subjects are things you don't usually see, all with a bizarre twist.
