Dr. Dreck and Moaner the Zombie Cheerleader have a Summer version of their The Dungeon of Dr. Dreck series. It is called Dr. Dreck's Drive In and features all the regular characters including Stu the Rat out of the dungeon watching movies in a drive in. The Horror Host Underground recently produced a Zacherley tribute, partially to celebrate his 90th birthday last year and also to thank him for all he has contributed to horror hosting. It was compiled and edited by Undead Johnny and features Count Gore De Vol, Dr. Dreck, Dr. Pureblood, El Vato, Jebediah Buzzard, Karlos Borloff, Lon Madnight, Uncle Pete, and Zacherley himself. A special horror host show is making the rounds of various TV channels called The Horror Host Underground Presents The Giant Gila Monster . The show, brought together by The Bone Jangler, features many hosts hosting the movie The Giant Gila Monster and interacting with the film. Also included are skits and a music video, as well as an interview with the star, Don Sullivan. The show is a great way to see how different hosts from around the country tackle the same movie. Set during the 1960s, the movie The Dungeon of Dr. Dreck takes place during the heyday of horror hosts on TV. Filmed in period black and white, it shows the the usurping of the top star's time slot at a local TV station by an unlikely duo of horror movie hosts. Dr. Dreck and Moaner, the Zombie Cheerleader, are put on the air so that the station can jump on the horror movie bandwagon that was gaining popularity at the time. This leaves the formerly popular movie show host in a vengeful mood and the plot follows her plans of revenge against the new stars of the station. The movie is essentially the story of how Dr. Dreck and Moaner became horror hosts. Through the film, you come to know and like the pair, as well as their mascot, Stu, the living rubber rat. Overall it is very funny, with lots of little jokes and movie parodies throughout.
