Shock Theater

Chicago's Shock Theater debuted on December 7, 1957 with Marvin as it's host. Marvin was joined on his show by his wife, only ever referred to as Dear, Shorty, Orville, and his house band, The Deadbeats.

The show ran until August of 1959 and on the last show Marvin dropped out of character and his alter ego, Terry Bennett, spoke to the audience and introduced everyone who played a part in making the show. Terry Bennett passed away October 12, 1977.

Though no footage of Marvin exists, you can listen to the last nine minutes of his last show here:

K.Daver's Chiller Thriller Theatre

K.Daver hosts a weekly show called K.Daver's Chiller Thriller Theatre every Saturday on Cult Radio A GoGo in which he presents a variety of horror movie trailers. K.Daver regularly hosts a radio show on CRAGG as well.

Dr. Dreck's Drive In

Dr. Dreck and Moaner the Zombie Cheerleader have a Summer version of their The Dungeon of Dr. Dreck series. It is called Dr. Dreck's Drive In and features all the regular characters including Stu the Rat out of the dungeon watching movies in a drive in.

Virginia Creepers Trailer

The first trailer for the Virginia Creepers documentary has been released. The film is about the history of horror hosts that have been seen in the Virginia area. It is hosted by Mr. Lobo and features Count Gore De Vol, Dr. Sarcofiguy, Karlos Borloff, The Bowman Body, Sir Graves Ghastly, Jebediah Buzzard, Doctor Madblood, and many others. Included are newly shot interviews and rare footage and photos of the hosts. Virginia Creepers will come out on DVD in October 2009.

Penny Dreadful's Holiday Specials

The Shilling Shockers gang are currently working on a spinoff series of holiday specials. The shows are titled Penny Dreadful's Holiday Special and will be hosting segments with Penny, Garou, and the rest of the regular characters from Shilling Shockers, but they will be hosing cartoon and trailers instead of full length movies. Already filmed are Day of the Dead and Thanksgiving editions.

Dr. Paul Bearer Trading Cards

In 1994, Scary Monsters Magazine produced a trading card set in conjunction with Dr. Paul Bearer, the host of Creature Feature. The set consisted of 36 purple bordered cards with black and white pictures of the Doctor, with typical Dr. Paul Bearer monster jokes on the back.

An additional personally autographed card was also available from the magazine.

Prior to the set being released, Dr. Paul Bearer was featured on a green bordered promo card, also from Scary Monsters Magazine.
