The Bowman Body

On June 22, 1970, The Bowman Body, first appeared hosting movies in a special week long Shock Film Festival on channel WXEX in Richmond, Virginia. This eventually became an ongoing show called Shock Theatre, which lasted until 1976. Bowman started up again in 1977, this time hosting Cobweb Theatre on Charlottesville, Virginia's WVIR channel 29, which lasted until 1979. He reemerged in 1983 on WNVC-TV channel 56 in Fairfax, Virginia in a show called Monsterpiece Theater.

John Stanley Meets Jack the Ripper is a two DVD set of the Minimovies that John Stanley used to make and star in, which were shown on Creature Features. The short films very often had a celebrity guest star or spoofed a movie or genre and became very popular with the fans.

Dr. Shock's Tales of Terror

After Dr. Shock's X-Ray Chiller Theatre, which started in 1989 in the Ohio and Michigan areas, left the air, Dr. Shock began hosting anthology movies on VHS and DVD. One of these, Dr. Shock's Tales of Terror, came out in 2002 and features Dr. Shock hosting the short horror films Bullet for a Vampire, The Town That Loved Pizza, The Garden Tool Murders, and Demons Day.

Creatures of the Night That We Loved So Well

The book Creatures of the Night That We Loved So Well is an in depth examination of the horror hosts that aired in the Southern California area. The author, James M. Fetters, has created the definitive volume on those hosts. The book includes interviews with some of the hosts, the people involved in the show, and people who grew up watching the shows. Their behind the scenes information provides insight into what went into producing a show in the various eras covered. All of that is put into perspective by the author's background information on the period they were shown in and how the ways viewers went about watching the programs.

Highlights of what makes this is an indispensable book to host fans are the large amount of rare photos and ads for the shows, as well as the complete as possible movie and date listings from each show, and the script excerpts. A Creature Features Tribute

On March 19, 2011, Lord Blood-Rah hosted his Lord Blood-Rah's Nerve Wrackin' Theatre at the Historic Bal Theatre in San Leandro, California, and this time, instead of hosting a pair of horror movies, he presented a tribute to Creature Features. He was joined on stage by John Stanley and Tom Wyrsch, who discussed both Bob Wilkins and John's time on the show. They also screened the documentary Watch Horror Films, Keep America Strong! and The Bob Wilkins Super Horror Show.

Weird Web Theater

Weird Web Theater is a new project that combines YouTube and Facebook. Every Friday at 8:00 PM EST, there are links posted on Tingler TV to YouTube videos, including a movie, to make it flow like a horror host show, while the members of the group chat along in a Facebook group chat. The pilot episode ran on June 3, 2011, with A. Ghastlee Ghoul presenting the movie The Brain That Wouldn't Die.
