OMG! I love Seymour! He had the coolest show is there any way to get ahold of some old Movies that he narrated. The movies were stupid but Seymour made them totally cool when he would jump into them!

As a child I begged my parents to take me to see him at an event he was appearing at. I was so excited to meet him. I remember he was very nice.
go a picture with him somewhere at my parents house. Really need to find it!

OMG.....I used to have a one-eyed dog I named Igor, and I always used to say his name "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeegor!"
I knew I had gotten that from somewhere, I just couldn't remember where- until I heard that audio!
I would have been 8 y.o. when Larry Vincent passed in 1975, so that show must have made a real impression on me for that to have stuck in my unconscious for all those decades!

Seymour was the coolest. He didn't need goofy costumes and makeup. He really brightened my childhood growing up in LA. RIP dude.

Seymour with his syndication schlock fest, made my Saturday nights bearable. I taped many of his bits, on cassettes from the movies he hosted. I remember Famous Monsters of Filmland had a page dedicated to him as a homage; it was a sad time. He brought so much enjoyment to so many of us. I still as with many still think of and remember him with fondness.

I was delighted to see a short clip of Seymour in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I remember loving the show as a kid. Poor old Seymour was always trying to crash the party behind the slimy wall, but he never did make it in, did he, Fringies? As I recall, the station he worked for (KTLA) only had a couple horror movies in their vault and were generally too cheap to rent others so every third week they would replay the Japanese movie Attack of the Mushroom People (1963) dubbed in English. But it didn't seem to matter. Seymour would do new bits every week. I'm wondering, was he the first to do picture-in-picture wiseguy commentary (predating Mystery Theater 3000 a decade)? Seymour never got the national audience that his successor Elivra did, so few outside of LA heard of him. But he was a trailblazer and he is missed. RIP Larry Vincent. If there is a heaven (or hell) I hope you finally made it to that party behind the slimy wall.

Seymour was the best. Creature Features, in Louisville, early 70's, every Saturday night in syndication. Like many others, used to tape them on cassette; a sad day when I read of his demise in Famous Monsters of Filmland. "The most sinister man to ever crawl from behind the slimy wall". So said Herkermer Yourjenski. Good memories, still miss him.

Loved Seymour and his slimy wall. Met him at an event and still have his autograph. The event in '71, I think, was a live showing of "Night of the Lepus" with giant killer rabbits. I was in the front row on the right side of the theater and Seymour was front row middle. I remember loudly making a comment during the movie and I looked over at Seymour and he was looking at me laughing. Such a great time and a cool guy to watch.
